We had a busy last week before half term and there was lots of Valentines fun happening. We wrote cards and letters to our friends, we looked at different stories about love and caring for each other and we decorated heart shaped biscuits.
Global Community Week ?
During global community week the children enjoyed looking at and colouring lots of world flags, we enjoyed painting numbers in Chinese and watching travel videos from around the world. We were very lucky to have Mr Gell come in to talk to us about working away. We found out lots and even learnt some words in Chinese. Can you remember how to say “How are you?” Take a look at the video of us learning to count to 10.
We’ve got rhythm!!
On a Wednesday afternoon FS2 are getting all musical. We have been drumming along to ‘Shotgun’ and enjoying making lots of noise.
Exploring our new deconstructed role play ?
Firstly, I have to warn you it doesn’t look ‘pretty’! It is a pile of boxes, fabric, tubes and more. The more the children use it the shabbier it will look. But, the level of imagination and language you will see and hear is why we have it. The space can change almost by the minute depending on who is playing in it and better than that you can often have multiple role play scenarios all happening at once based on what the children want to play.
